A year ago today, our beloved Nycole K. was found deceased in an abandoned building in East Baltimore after a night of historic low temperatures (-8 degrees). She had no place else to go. Despite all the evidence to the contrary, her death was determined as natural causes. Tonight we celebrate her gifts, beauty, survival, motherhood, and determination. We send our condolences to her children and all of her loved ones who miss her. We send our thoughts to all those concerned about a loved one tonight. We did not know you well Nycole, but we know you wouldnt want us to stop telling your story.
