A year ago today, we were in London. It was sheer luck of travel timing that 1. there was a heat wave of 35+C (100F) degrees, and 2. the Royal Baby Prince George was born. The heat made the sightseeing pretty tough-going, but the citys mood was all about the giddiness of a royal birth, which was celebrated in unique ways that happen only on such occasions. Such as this 41-gun salute in Green Park, next to Buckingham Palace. #traveltuesday
