A year ago yesterday I lost my job of five years (on payday but thats besides the point) I was not allowed to say goodbye to anyone which kind of messes with me to this day. You know.. That feeling like Wonder what types of lies will be said about me? Will they act like I was just some horrible guy and somehow its all my fault?..probably so. Walking home with an Iron Mountain box kind of humbles you. I was unemployed (!!!)..after just moving into my new place with Jess a week earlier (which everyone knew about which shocked me because who thinks to fire someone a week after they change their address?) Needless to say.. Seven days later I received an offer letter with a higher salary thanks to all of the things I learned at said firm and the recommendations from the people who saw the best in me and Im grateful to say Im in a much better space in life, more mature and appreciative of it all. So in a ways this is a thank you to my past. Life is funny that way I guess.
