AAP - A hope of India What Arvind Kejriwal has brought about in a few months of his arrival in the political scene is a possibility of a Bloodless Political Revolution, so rare in world political history and true to the Indian philosophy of Ahimsa , which has given the Indian mass an opportunity to join honest politics, the field which ,so far, the common people used to scrupulously shun. We have not seen such blood less political revolution anywhere in the world so far. Revolution and change of power has always been bloody. Read any history. It has given each Indian a platform to come forward fearlessly to give his/her motherland the shape they really want. If this fails, the social and political deterioration may go to such an extent that the next stage may unavoidably be a bloody one. India and her children of future can not be left in the hands of totally corrupt people. We have to decide today what to do for that. Should we blindly follow the same group of people who are collectively sucking our blood or we go for fresh, young, budding and vibrant activists who project some ray of hope. We must ignore all small aberration, if any; as for myself I do not see any such thing; and garner all out support for Kejriwal. We have got a golden opportunity. Couple of months is too small a period to judge even a person leaving aside a party. The parties he is opposing are decades to century old, whereas in case of Aam Admi Party it is at a very nascent stage, yet to even cut its umbilical cord! Certain portion of common mass, possibly with vested interest, and broadly media, seem to be too much in a hurry to deliver judgment against Kejriwal and his juvenile group of people who are all set to bring in change to this highly corrupted political system which ultimately transforms all initially well-meaning youths entering into all types of profession into a bunch of corrupted people following the foot steps of their political masters. Let’s first understand what is revolution? According to Oxford advance dictionary, “Revolution is an attempt by a large number of people to bring in change. There are various kinds of revolutions: cultural, industrial, scientific… and last but not the least political. Political revolution is an attempt to change the government of a country, when the people in general are totally disillusioned by the act of the existing government, especially by a violent means. Revolution does not occur in a day. It has to pass through various stages forcing the common people to come out from its daily chore and take to street. Situation becomes very volatile: needs only a spark to ignite. We have plenty of examples of such revolutions; mainly are American, French, Bolshevik (Russian), Chinese, seven years of war in Europe and plenty in small countries in the world, save India where major part of freedom fight was non-violence, which gave a classical example to the world which many countries successfully emulated. Present opportunity of this bloodless revolution may be an extension of our past blood-less revolution against British rule. Unfortunately situation today is worse than British days. 65 years after the independence the farmers are committing suicide all over the country. A huge portion of our country men are leaving below the poverty line, only a few miniscule percentages of the Indians are super reach with a house of costing over two billion whereas the neighbours are living in shackles. List is unending. Such things can not be allowed to go on. One must realise that the Indian mass are waking up. It has been lately observed that large population tend to turn out to the street across the country to vent out their frustration, show solidarity on any big or small account. For a cause they are prepared to take on existing administration including Police brutality and government apathy. The present situation generally started with anti-corruption movement by Anna Hazare duly assisted by Arvind Kejriwal. Turn out of lacs of people supporting Lokpal Bill was an eye opener to the shimmering rage of the common man against rampant and unchecked corruption of politicians. But the common man (Aam Admi) were helpless, did not have any structured way to give vent to their feelings. Arvind Kejriwal arrived in the scene with his Aam Admi Party and within a couple of months this party got 28 seats in Delhi Assembly, living Congress way behind with only ten seats and pulled it down from its bastion. We the Indians saw a miracle unfolding before our eyes. Aam Admi were bewildered but a new horizon stated unfolding before their eyes with hope and aspiration: and most importantly finding a way to put their right foot forward and personally participate in the real politics to fulfill their aspirations which so far was forcibly forbidden to them as it was believed to be the domain of rich and powerful, that common man could not get into politics. Politics has been always a big man’s game involving money, muscle and connection. Thanks to Kejriwal the entire thing has got a new dimension. He has proved that common man like him, you and I can also participate in politics with honesty of purpose. It is comparable to pre-independence days when Indians from all walks of life got into street to fight against British rule and drive it out. Today we see the repeat scene with more damaging creed to fight against i.e. Indian Politicians who are more heinous than British people who despite being foreign ruler did bring in many administrative, fiscal, social and educational developments. British ICS were the epitome of honesty of purpose and dedication. About IAS lesser said is better. It is unarguable that the country has sunk deep into the corruption and mal administration by the politicians, bureaucrats and all departments of national and state offices. Why has such situation arisen? Cause is only one most of the top politician are cruelly corrupt. They do not have nay empathy for their common people who they are supposed to serve. The primary cause for revolution always is the widespread frustration with socio-political situation. Kefriwal has come at the right time to save India. It is always one person who led the country whether in religious, political, military or social field. Like the avalanche which starts with a small part of snow resulting into a huge mass in wiping out cities coming its way. It is too early I agree to compare him with such great people of the yeastier year but he has given us the beginning and as I have watched him he will deliver and history will remember him. The best return of any good work one can expect is by emulation. One should be proud to read the news covered by The Hindu paper on News of Lahore dated 3rd march where it broke the news ‘Inspired by AAP, a Party with same name has been launched in Pakistan.’ They have taken same vow to rid their country of corruption as was dreamt by their founder father Mahammed Ali Jinnah.’ Is it not a big feather on the hat of AAP? The national scene has changed with AAP unmasking Modi along with congresses misdeed. Modis hands are smeared with 2002 bloodstain. Under no circumstances a chief minister of a state is absolved of from the murder charges where more than 2000 innocent people were butchered mercilessly. While one does quote Godra as a precursor to the 2002 incident, which was also equally harrowing and repulsive, but does that exonerate the state chief minister from merciless killing of innocents, specially when there are different views by different commissions about the cause of the fire in the ill fated coach, including accidental fire and there after the incident was stage managed. But subsequent event followed was a harrowing tale including genocide like ‘Children were force fed petrol and then set on fire, pregnant women were gutted and their unborn childs body then shown to the women.’ How can be a functional chief minister be absolved of such heinous crime? Kejriwal’s 16 point probing questions to Modi government still goes unanswered. If even some of them are true then the situation is not as rosy as being pictured. As opposed to Modi, Rahul is a novice, born with ‘diamond spoon’ (as opposed to common phrase ‘golden spoon’), devoid of grass-root experience surrounded by the sycophants of the highest order, following the legacy of dynastic rule which is possible only in India in a democratic country: so spine less we are. How can one even dream of electing him in a huge country with multifarious problem like that we have, unless we want to put a death knell? Now comes Kejriwal who also does not have any experience in politics but totally dedicated, a grass-root person, uncontroversial and highly educated. He is endowed with Magsaysay award for his work with slums in Kolkata along with Noble laureate Mother Theresa, worked in Assam and hariyan, chucked off the most lucrative job in IRS, which I would not have, worked in front of Delhi JalBihar for ten years from 2003 and last but not the least he is honest to the core and an aam admi like us and reachable. In our mythology it is mentioned that a leader/messiah arrives whenever there is a need. Now is the time we need him. I quote Gita “Shambhawani Yuge Yuge”.
