ABOUT WOMENS SELF DEFENSE for about 5 and half years my fellow self defense instructors and I researched every womens self defense program and book we could find. The goal was to find a program that we could teach at ICSU. Well after spending a lot of money and man hours we discovered that there was a lot of room for improvement in how and what is being taught with regards to womens self defense. So we decided that we wanted to get involved...our goal was simple. To raise expectations and standards by reinventing how women and instructors approach the subject of self defense. What we developed was a series of different programs we call Kadima. Really each program is based upon the same body of knowledge just specially tailored to fit the audience, teens, women, couples, children, etc The course we offer instructors in order to train them in Kadima we call our womens defensive tactics instructors course WDTIC. We have been offering these courses for sometime and the feed back has been overwhelmingly positive. One lady who is a professional speaker and presenter at womens conferences and talks about womens self defense gave us a rating of 11 out of 1 -10...I asked her why and she said, this is the first and only course that explains the psychological factors regarding the attacker, victim, and dynamics of violence. Then she told me the tragic details of her own rape. Bottom line I know our programs are good not because we say so but because those who attended our Kadima seminars say so. Now for the last few months I have been receiving a lot of emails and private messages from people asking if they could take our courses online and be certified from ICSU. Unfortunately it is our policy that we do not certify anyone we have not met and evaluated in person...However the demand for online courses has caused us to rethink how we provide our information. So after much consideration and discussion we decided that a good experiment would be to provide our WDTC information online just without instructor certification. HOW IT WOULD WORK Each week we would send out a lesson workbook in the form of a PDF via email. Each lesson would focus on a particular topic (e.g. dating, home security, victimology, target selection process, how to teach an effective self defense class) in short you would receive all of our information broken down into 50 lessons...that one year of specialized training you can do from the comfort of your home. In addition we would create a closed forum in which weekly lessons would be discussed and any questions answered. WHATS THE CATCH? The catch is this... 1. We typically charge $1299.00 to $495.00 for our instructor seminars...However this online course is information only and does not include instructor certification...just a certificate of completion for those that complete the weekly quiz and final exam....so we will only be charging $199.00 for this course. 2. In order for us to offer this online course it has been determined we would need a minimum number of students to justify the cost in setting it up. So we will need a minimum number of students to commit to taking the course before we offered it. CONCLUSION: If you are interested in receiving all of our Kadima information condensed into 50 lessons that will be sent to you, one each week for the next 50 weeks and you are willing to pay $199.00 than please private message me your name and email.
