ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS OR SYMBOLS I know that usually Dave is the one with all the words of wisdom, but tonight I want to give it a try. I have had a lot on my mind lately, and it has to do with symbols and perceptions. This life that we have created for ourselves is full of symbols. If you see a person in a fancy sports car or a big fancy truck you might assume they have money and are happy, or maybe if they drive a beat up old car, you might think they are poor and lazy. We all know that these perceptions that we have are often false, and yet we continue to allow them to cloud our judgement. The same goes for a person that has tattoos. Some people choose to use there body to make statements about their beliefs or as a display for art work. It doesnt mean that they are mean or into bad activities. It is simply a statement that want to make for all of the world to see. The same goes for things like rings or other outward signs of commitment. A person can wear a wedding ring but if their actions dont show that they are married, what good does a wedding ring really do? It is a persons actions that are the real sign of where a persons heart is. So be very careful and cognizant of the symbols that you use to represent one thing or another. More importantly, do not judge a person based on what you think they symbolize. You may be all wrong. It is only that person that truly knows where their heart is. Love Leann
