ADVANCED DAJAL & DEMONS (Magical Items) DOUBLE DINO-CULARS: This pair of binoculars will strike despair in the eyes of the world-weary, because it puts the user firmly standing in the ass of the world. They are called dino-culars precisely because they symbolize the Jurassic mentality of Malay shamans who would be better off kept in an amusement park not unlike Jurassic Park. How do these gadgets work? They dont. Heres the thing: these are cursed dino-culars. How so? The right dino-cular shows the user what they wish to see no matter how contrary the vision is to reality. So for example, if youre nationalistic and you believe in (I dont know) Vision 2020, thats exactly what youll see in 1st world vivid colours (also in 3D if you wipe your right eye with crocodile tears). The left dino-cular is even worse. It shows you the true form of those you behold, so for example, if you happen to train it on Raja Bomoh Zin, what appears through the lens will not remotely look human, for he is in objective fact a humongous were-gator (buaya jadian). If you accidentally see your own reflection through the left lens, dont be surprised if you see nothing reflected back, because most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them. What you really don’t want to do is to use both left and right dino-culars all at once. When used in unison, the dino-culars would reveal the very fabric of the universe as a swirling chaos of whirling coconuts, and ultimately the seer will realize that he alone is truly sane while everybody around him are in fact cuckoos and nuts who think that they are sane when in fact they are just all the same. The snag here is that once this co(s)mic truth is disclosed, the user can never go back to how things were, and are left alone with the Alone. And so it goes, “and when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you”.
