ADVERTISEMENT The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) invites applications from suitably qualified Basotho nationals for the following positions at LNDC Headquarters: PLANNING & RESEARCH MANAGER RISK MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER LEGAL ASSISTANT PLANNING & RESEARCH MANAGER PURPOSE OF THE JOB The purpose of this job is to manage the coordination of the LNDC’s Planning function and the facilitation of Research on development issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Planning: To analyse and contextualize national development plans and policies; To co-ordinate alignment of LNDC plans and strategies to national development plans; To facilitate performance reviews against set development targets; To facilitate development of statutory reports and other reports. Research: To identify and ensure availability of key research information to support LNDC development agenda; To facilitate new research based on identified priorities and information gaps; To facilitate availability of benchmarking studies in all key areas in order to inform policy; To ensure availability of key databases to support investment promotion effort. Administration: To supervise subordinate staff; To develop key sectional performance reports. REPORTING CHANNELS The incumbent to this position will report to the Head Planning, Research and Information Management QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE •MSc in Economics, Statistics or any related field •5 years relevant experience COMPETENCIES Good report writing skills •Database management skills •Knowledge of research methods •Creative and innovative thinker •High computer literacy •Excellent analytical and organizational skills •Ability to benchmark RISK MANAGER PURPOSE OF THE JOB The purpose of this job is to provide a comprehensive support service to ensure a systematic, uniform and effective Enterprise Wide Risk Management (ERM). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES •To plan and execute Enterprise Wide Risk Management (ERM) •To develop reporting lines •To ensure best practice ERM •To develop and implement risk responses for identified material risks •To analyse risk assessment results in order to identify trends, within the risk profile, and develop the necessary high level control interventions to manage these trends REPORTING CHANNELS The incumbent to this position will report to the Head Internal Audit & Risk Assessment QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE •MSc in Risk management / Chartered Risk Management •5 years relevant experience COMPETENCIES Strong process orientation Excellent computer skills; Initiative; Independence; Active knowledge-sharing styles; Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Planning and Organization; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and written form; Interpersonal skills; Proficiency in risk management and new and emerging risk techniques; Good judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues and information. HUMAN RESOURCES MANGER PURPOSE OF THE JOB The purpose of this job is to assist in the guidance and management of all human resources and administrative services for the entire Corporation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the monitoring and coordination of the Employee Performance Management. Responsible for the formulation and review of the divisional policies and procedures. Responsible for the staff training and development Responsible for the management of the recruitment process Responsible for the remuneration and benefits management Responsible for the administration of the disciplinary and grievance handling procedures Responsible for the divisional budget preparation. REPORTING CHANNELS The incumbent to this position will report to the Head Human Resources and Administration QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE •MA Degree in Human Resources Management/ MBA or a related field •5 years relevant experience COMPETENCIES Report writing skills Communication and interpersonal skills Analytical skills Conflict resolution and counseling skills Attention to detail Managerial skills LEGAL ASSISTANT PURPOSE OF THE JOB To provide support services in relation to legal processes within the division KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Filling and service of court process and delivery of external communication Following up on messengers of court to ensure timely service of summons and/court papers and timely implementation of writs of execution following courts judgment Attending to indexing, setting down of cases and taxation in both subordinate and the higher courts Synchronizing and manning of the legal officers diaries Manning of filing and keeping a registry of leases, contracts and other deeds Conducting research on legal matters REPORTING CHANNELS The incumbent to this position will report to the Senior Legal Officer QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Certificate in Local Law or equivalent At least two years’ experience as a messenger or clerk in legal outfit COMPETENCIES Knowledge of court processes and procedures Taxation in the subordinate and higher courts Good interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure Attention to detail Confidentiality Dependability Report writing skills Basic computer skills REMUNERATION The LNDC offers competitive salaries and benefits packages.
