ADVICE NEEDED!!! Spent days on phone with movers and just found out there are moving BROKERS who give you cheap estimates and then farm you out and actual job goes way up in price or they hold your stuff hostage. Advantage to them is that they can be cost efficient because they use multiple companies and can take advantage of different carriers (each with different reputations) and get your stuff there more quickly. In my frustration last night, someone gave me a NY mover whom they used multiple times, but that NY mover said Id be better served by using a NJ mover. Price is higher, which i dont mind, advantage is that you get ONE company and that one companys reputation delivering/handling your stuff. Big disadvantage is it can take 14 business days from when I say Im first available to receive my stuff. This is because they are using ONE company of their own fleet and employees. Interstate move is a whole different ball of wax from local moves. Anyone have any experience or guidance? The NJ company Im leaning toward using is Alpha Moving. Anyone hear anything positive or negative?
