ADVICE NEEDED for Special Parents #psnm00562 My wife and I really could use some advice. We took in two girls as foster to adopt. We have had them for one year now and they have made a substantial comeback from everything. The 3 year old is now diagnosed with SPD and food is a serious struggle. She is not gaining weight. Developmental pediatrician says she needs more calories. Duh, how. Gave us a list of high calorie, high protein drinks to make her, but most are made with horrible ingredients, ice cream, loads of half and half, sugar, etc. I am not sure this is the best way. Not really the healthy option. Does anyone have any suggestions?
