AGAIN: CHINA BANS NIGERIAN STUDENTS FROM COMPETING IN ENACTUS GAMES OVER EBOLA!!! China has disqualified Ekiti State University, EKSU students, the Nigerian representatives from Enactus World Cup being hosted by the country, over the outbreak of Ebola Virus disease in Nigeria, reports Mirror. The country director of the organisation in Nigeria, Adesuwa Ifedi, in a release, said her office could not secure letter of invitation required to process visa from the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria for the team. She said all efforts by the organisation, as well as its partnering institutions, including the US Embassy in Nigeria, since over a month ago to convince the Chinese authorities that Nigerians were not in any way an Ebola threat to other participants and the people of China, fell on deaf ears. EKSU students emerged champions at the Nigerian version, beating about 22 other participating universities and polytechnics in the country to qualify for the World Cup. Ifedi described the development as a sad one, as huge resources in terms of money, time and emotions, to prepare the team for the world has been lost. The competition took off in Beijing, the Chinese capital, without Nigerian representatives participating. Just imagine China!!!!
