ALL CLEAR: Fort Hood lifts boil water notices with continued normal stage 1 water conservation. Fort Hood officials have lifted all boil water notices for Fort Hood. All testing has been completed and all tests came back with clean results. American Water, Fort Hoods water utility provider, issued a statement that all drinking water meets regulatory requirements at 11:06 a.m. July 16. Normal Stage 1 water conservation measures remain in place. Stage 1 measures include: (1) No watering of all types of landscaping between the hours of 1-5 p.m. daily. No water runoff allowed from areas being watered. (2) No operating of fund-raising or organizational car washes between the hours of 1-5 p.m. daily. (3) All personnel will minimize use of water for irrigation of landscaping and vehicle washing and will not waste potable water. (4) No use of potable water to wash driveways, sidewalks or buildings for general cleaning. Exceptions may be authorized for certain activities (e.g. spill response, contract actions, etc.) (5) If residents experience problems with water flow or leaks, they should call the Directorate of Public Works service desk at (254) 287-2113.
