ALOO TIKKI Ingredients : Potatoes 1/2 kg ( boiled mashed ... Mash potatoes till they are hot ) , corn flour or arrowroot powder 2 tb sp , baking powder 1/2 tsp , salt 1 tsp .oil or pure ghee for shallow frying , green n tamarind chutney , beaten curd , mooli ( radish ) grated optional to serve . Ingredients for filling : Moong dhuli dal 1/2 cup ( soaked overnight or 2-3 hrs ) Jeera 1/2 tsp , green chilly 1 , ginger 1 tsp crushed , dhania powder 1/2 tsp , salt nerd chilly powder to taste , chat masala 1/2 tsp , garam masala powder 1/2 tsp , hing 1/4 tsp , oil 1 tsp Method : Drain dal n grind to make a coarse powder . Dont over grind . Heat oil . Add hing , jeera seeds , green chilly n ginger . Stir for few seconds . Add dal paste n all the seasonings . Stir continuously . Cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame . Keep aside to cool . Mix together mashed potatoes , cornstarch , bashing powder , salt . Mix it very well . Now divide the potatoes mixture into equal portion . Make balls n slightly flatten , place a little filling in the centre and cover it properly to make the TIKKI shape . Heat oil or ghee on a non stick tawa or pan . Shallow fry tikkis on medium heat till golden n crisp . Serve hot with chutney ,beaten curd n mooli Laccha . Enjoy 😊😊😊
