ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK to NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA! Great opportunity for club members & leaders...This is a work spring break scheduled for March 24th – March 27th. We will explore poverty related to housing, hunger, and the environment in addition to cultural and geographic diversity. Components of the Alternative Spring Break will include community service projects such as work at homeless shelters, rebuilding centers, and food kitchens in the host city, New Orleans. Through action and reflection student club members will have an increased appreciation for community needs and increase their own commitment to community service. In order to go on any national trip, you are responsible for funding part of your trip. On Friday, October 18th, 1:00-2:00 PM in the Student Lounge we will have a fundraising meeting to start the discussion about how you can raise funds for your national trips. A second fundraising and info session will be held on November 15th from 12:00 noon – 2:00pm. Please contact me for the application form or if you have any questions.
