ALUMNI ALERT! Three beautiful kittens lived in ASAPs Sick Bay for several months while waiting for their leukemia retest. All three kittens eventually tested negative and were adopted by an ASAP volunteer, Jake K., who is the chief farmer for Chapala Farms and now a lead volunteer for us! Jake has sent us two wonderful updates since she adopted them earlier this year. The kittens live on the downtown Santa Barbara farm, which is situated on an enclosed rooftop. Weve included pics of the kitties at the farm and of Jake too! Its a wonderful happy ending for all involved!! ----------------- March 2014 Hi guys! I am one of the volunteers on the Wednesday shift and I adopted the 3 kittens that had been living in sick bay for the last couple of months. I wanted to send an update because I know many of you became quite attached to them:) They are adjusting very well to their new home and are playful as ever! Ellen (calico) is the most outgoing of the three and loves to lead the girls on expeditions around the farm. She also goes crazy for treats. Glitter (pink short hair) has the cutest little meow. It’s more of a squeak. She’s the only one who will tolerate being held, so i take advantage of that:). Wendy (white and orange) is the shyest of the bunch. She likes to wait to see what happens with the other two before she will jump in. Ellen likes to help me with the seedlings. Wendy is great at paperwork. Glitter is resident bug swatter ----------------- September 2014 The three kitties are continuing to doing so well! They run the farm and demand pets from anyone who visits - they are the perfect trio. Ellen, the calico, is definitely the leader of the pack. The other two follow her lead. Wendy, the white and orange medium hair, is the most adamant about being rubbed. She flops over right in front of you so you have no choice but to scratch her belly. She also has great style (see the purse picture). Glitter, the pinkish one, is the most shy, but she is the only one ok with being held. They are all so sweet and cute and bring such a fun feeling to the farm and everyone loves them. We are so glad that they could all stay together.
