AM I WRONG? Monday 7:45a on Country 600 CKAT. So Anthony Rota got the local Liberal nod to represent in the next federal election. Youll recall he lost the seat to Conservative Jay Aspin 3 years ago. It should be no surprise that Rota got the bulk of the delegate votes over newcomer Monique Lugli; after all Rota is a likeable, well known entity. I would caution Anthony however on blaming his 18 vote lost to Jay to voter apathy. Many Ive talked to point to his flip-flop on the long gun registry, in the end towing the party line on keeping it. Now Canada Post is warning Aspin to side with them and stave off the Conservatives plan to cancel door to door mail delivery, pointing to Rotas demise in 2011 due to his siding with the Liberal bosses of the time. Who would have thought that guns then mail delivery could be the difference between winning and losing. AM I WRONG? Andy Wilson.
