AMBC-VICTORIA MAFTA INFORMATION SEMINAR The Australia-Malaysia Business Council-Victoria Chapter together with Madgwicks Lawyers and BDO hosted a MAFTA (Malaysia-Australia Free Trade Agreement) Information Seminar today (Tuesday,18/3/2014) at Madgwicks, Level 33, 140 William Street, Melbourne CBD. The seminar commenced at 8 am and ended at about 11.30 am. Seven speakers delivered their remarks on opportunities for investing and trading with Malaysia. A tele-conference session was also held with Mr Joel Blackwell of AUSTRADE, Malaysia, and Tim Dillon of the Victorian State Government, KL. Ms Noor Hayati Abu Noh, Consul (Trade) also spoke on the role and function of MATRADE. The main purpose of the seminar was to inform Australians especially Victorian businessmen on opportunities available via the coming into effect of MAFTA in January last year.
