AMEREN Req. # 12173 Title: Administrative Assistant Confidential Location: Springfield, IL POSITION DESCRIPTION: **Due to the pending transaction to divest AER, AER employees will not be considered for this position** The Administrative Assistant Confidential is responsible for providing direct clerical and administrative support to the Department Director. Key responsibilities include: - Execute administrative tasks and projects as directed by the department director. - Identify needs, implement solutions and maintain records for appropriate administrative, organizational, and clerical support activities. Create and disseminate accurate and timely information within the department organization. Enhance communication of information through preparation of documents and presentations, development of spreadsheets, reports, and use of other related tools. Organize and coordinate scheduling activities for the functional area directors and other department staff (training, meetings, etc.). - Effectively represent the department through interactions with other areas of the Company. Take ownership of internal and external customer issues and collaboratively come up with appropriate solutions. Develop effective relationships with employees, customers, and regulatory representatives. - Maintain and/or improve proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, database applications, and company IT systems. Serve as a resource to department management employees for forms, travel arrangements, organization knowledge, and other similar activities. - Effectively handle sensitive/confidential information. - TRIS entry and reporting. - Compliance activity tracking, record keeping, reporting and organization. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience Three or more years of relevant clerical/administrative experience required. Other Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required. Experience with Autosol, Gas Compliance System, and Insight preferred. Confidentiality is essential. Excellent versatility, written and verbal communications, organization, human relations skills, decision making skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks required. Must show initiative, good judgment, attention to detail and work well in a team environment. Applicant must successfully pass relevant Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) testing prior to interview.
