We are seeking highly motivated professionals to fill the following positions: 1. ACADEMIC REGISTRAR The suitable candidate will be required to have a PhD from a recognized university and have worked for at least 3 years in a similar position or 5 years as a Deputy Registrar or 8 years as a Senior Assistant Registrar in a thriving university. S/he will be required to be thoroughly competent in education administration and matterstouching on student university life. The person must also be self motivated and have positive attitude, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to work successfully in a team with culturally diverse populations, ability to maintain confidentiality of information and work calmly under pressure. Proficiency in oral and written communication and relevant computer software is required. 2. SENIOR LECTURER IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND FAMILY STUDIES The suitable candidate must have a PhD in the relevant field with 5 years successful teaching experience, evidence of quality research and publications/ articles. Applicants with expertise in Human Growth and Development could also be considered. The person must have demonstrable ability to integrate faith, life and learning, ability to provide academic leadership, planning and organization. Proficiency in oral and written communication and relevant computer skills, commitment to working with and encouraging diversity with good interpersonal skills is required. This position is based in the Education Department, School of Education, Arts and Social Sciences (SEASS). 3. INTERNAL AUDITOR The suitable candidate must have a degree in accounting, auditing, finance or related field together with professional qualifications in CPA (K)/ ACCA/ CISA/ CIA. S/he should have at least five years working experience in Audit, with evidence of internal audit supervision assignments. The person must be thoroughly conversant with IFRS and information system audits and be able to work long hours under stress while paying keen attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstration of tact,diplomacy, integrity & honesty, confidentiality and maturity while interacting with teaching and non-teaching staff and students is required. S/he should be proficient in oral and written communication and possess relevant computer applications. 4. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – ISAR The suitable candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Education, Business Administration or a related Social/Physical Science from a recognized university. S/he should have a minimum of two years experience in either general office or academic administration. S/he should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; confidentiality and maturity, interpersonal skills; high levels of computer proficiency and ability to plan, organize and facilitate workshops, major events and other public meetings. 5. SPORTS AND RECREATION OFFICER The suitable candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with preference to Physical Education. Knowledge of the rules of most sports disciplines and requirements by sports governing bodies, strong organizational and administrative skills and computer skills is required. S/he should have a minimum of two years experience in sports management in an educational institution coupled with involvement in clubs, music and entertainment activities among the students. The person must be strong in problem solving, responsibility and accountability, moral integrity and ability to work under minimum supervision. 6. PART-TIME LECTURERS Applicants for part-time teaching appointments are invited for vacancies available in the following departments: i. Education ii. Business Administration iii. Development Studies iv. Entrepreneurship v. Finance and Accounting vi. Computer Studies and ICT vii. Historical Studies Part-time teaching applicants must have Masters Degree in relevant fields, with atleast 2 years teaching experience at university level after attaining the Masters. PhD holders and those with evidence of relevant research and publications will have a distinct advantage.
