ANC GAUTENG PROVINCE – PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DA LEADERS STATEMENT TO WIN GAUTENG IS A PIPEDREAM . The DA statement by Helen Zille and Jack Bloom to take over Gauteng in the after the 2014 elections is a pipedream, that will never happen in the Gauteng Province. The DA fails to run Western Cape and Midvaal, it is unimaginative of Helen Zille and her cronies to revive the old stale propaganda of taking control of Gauteng. This is not something new, in 2009 and 2011 elections they have used the same propaganda and failed dismally to win elections despite all the attempts to brand the DA as no racist party. The truth is there for everyone to see that the DA government is not delivering where they are in power. Their development policies are based on a nefarious racist agenda. The case in point is the Midvaal and Western Cape, where development and service delivery is purely for white suburbs and many black areas are still neglected with no development at all. The reality is that the Public Protector has exposed the DA controlled Midvaal municipality maladministration and corrupt practices. It was revealed that there were no governance systems in place to run the municipality including on procurement and illegal land transaction scams. In Western Cape black townships are neglected and there is no development. The people of Gauteng know what they want and there are visible developments in many areas of Gauteng. We have 50 000 Moses Kotane volunteer brigades across the Province working street by street and doing door to door to tell the people that the ANC has made a sterling and outstanding work on development and service delivery. The Joburg municipality remains the champion of development as compared to Cape Town which has narrowly focused on reviving colonial development and excluded townships. Soweto has developed to an extent that it can now be called a suburb. The DA has a profound ignorance towards the voting patterns of the people who have since 1994 voted for the ANC and that will not change. The ANC has delivered significantly for the people of South Africa. The legacy of the ANC is to transform and develop society stands as a testimony for people to continuing voting for it because it has brought changes in the peoples lives. The people confidence in the ability of the ANC to continue controlling Gauteng Province remains unshaken because it has maintained credibility, service delivery and good governance. Our people are convinced that significant progress has been made in improving the lives of the people of Gauteng since the advent of democracy in 1994 and we have made substantial progress on the programmes to grow the economy and ensured creation of decent jobs. We have improved significantly on the Health care with special care of the young and access to health system by all and continue to promote healthy lifestyles. Gauteng has top the notch in the building of infrastructure across the municipalities. This has been coupled with programmes aimed at tackling urban poverty and building sustainable livelihoods in communities. There has also been a vast improvement in the education system and more especially high achievements of matriculants in schools. One of the priorities has always been concentrated on fighting crime and corruption, by strengthening policing and working with communities. Generally, we have been able to promote good Governance within the context of building a developmental state. All these achievements speak mountains on what the ANC has been able to deliver in Gauteng. The statements made by Hellen Zille and Jack Bloom to take over Gauteng are distinctly inauspicious sign that the party is in a state of mess because of rupture caused by divisions, search for policies and identity hence looking for black faces.
