ANCHOR BABIES: Technically just because U R born in The USA does NOT automatically give babies USA citizenship. The 14th Amendment states that one or both parents have to be subject to the laws of the United States like Jury Duty. If the parents are subject to Mexico or other countries & have a baby in The USA, that child is a citizen of that country. Example: A German couple here in The USA on vacation, has a baby, that baby is a German citizen NOT a citizen of The USA.
