ANGELICA ISLAND PARTIALLY UNDER WATER - With a high tide at the time this photo was taken Wednesday afternoon at 515PM, March 26, 2014. A departing noreaster stirred up the bay today and partially submerged Angelica Island which is pretty low at sea level on a good day. Todays storm stats from the West Island Weather Station at South Point - include a high gust of 48 MPH NNE at 1:24 PM. The barometer bottomed out at West Island at 29.51 at 11:05 AM. 1.20 of snow fell with some minor blowing and drifting. Todays high temperature was 35.8 and the low read 25 degrees. The ocean temperature was 37.3 degrees. While records and data are still being collected - the storms central pressure bottomed out to an astounding 28.32 inches (lower than Hurricane-s Bob or Sandy) Peak wind gusts reached 119 MPH. westislandweather/
