ANNUNCIO DA DIFFONDERE TRA SCIENZIATI PhD candidates for Thin Film Solar Cells Project University of Verona - Italia We are seeking good PhD candidates for thin film solar cells project at the Laboratory for Applied Physics (University of Verona, Italy). The PhD position is within the “NANOSCIENCES AND NEW MORPHOLOGICAL, ANALYTICAL AND FORENSIC TECHNOLOGIES” PhD program. The work will be on thin film solar cells, in particular CdTe and Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4. These solar cells provide a low fabrication cost with high efficiency and the possibility of being produced as flexible devices. The PhD work will take into account vacuum and non-vacuum deposition processes together with different morphological and electrical characterization. Different issues like crystal structure, optical properties, junction formation will have to be taken into account. For this reason, the candidate should have good skills in nano fabrication and thin film deposition and/or knowledge on atomic force microscopy and/or capacitance-voltage characterization technique. The PhD student will work in an international environment among collaboration with national and international institutions, in a well-equipped laboratory with different vacuum (vapour deposition and sputtering) and non-vacuum (chemical bath deposition, spin coating) deposition equipment, together with characterization techniques such as atomic force microscopy and current-voltage, capacitance voltage and drive level capacitance profiling.
