ANOTHER PF SCANDAL AT GOVERNMENT PRINTERS Government Printers has just ordered gonga (fake, substandard) printing equipment from Taiwan at a cost of K4million. This equipment is about to dock at the Port of Dar-es- Saalam. However, the supplier is asking for further payment of US$3m before the equipment is installed, according to whistleblowers from within the Ministry of Works. Whats further disturbing about this importation is that this is the same supplier who supplied Zambia Daily Mail with similar gonga equipment at a very high price which they had to discard and order replacement Heidelberg printing equipment from Germany. However experts in the printing industry say that the best equipment to buy should be Goss for web-printing and a Heidelberg printing machines for sheet-feed printing.
