ANOTHER ROADSIDE RESCUE Last week BAWA founder Janice Girardi was on her way to a meeting with a group of visitors when she saw a puppy in the bushes at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. The puppy was screaming, obviously terrified and possibly injured. She had most likely been dumped and was semi-feral. Janice had the driver stop and approached the puppy hoping she might be able to quickly catch it and get it in the car, but the dog was too scared and ran further into the bushes. In the end it took Janice, her driver Wayan and BAWA staff member Yunus an hour to catch the puppy. Luckily Janice’s guests were very understanding about the hold up. Luckily Lody was not injured, just very very scared and is now happy and healthy and being fostered by Yunus. She’s ready to go to a home where she will be safe and loved.
