APC merger a success story – Al-Makura Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) said yesterday that the merger his party and other key opposition parties entered into to form the yet to be registered All Progressive Congress (APC), was a huge and success story. “We are already a huge and success story as APC. The party has come to stay. The hurdles we have encountered came like the fire that must run over gold for its preciousness to come out, or the hot water that the leaf tea must swim into for its sweet aroma and colour to come out. It is no doubt we are a huge and success story already”, Al-Makura said when he received a Joint CPC merger committe yesterday. The committee, headed by its chairman, Garba Mohammed Gadi, paid a visit to the governor to inform him of their progress and the success story. The governor commended the committee members for their commitment to the process of merger and assured them of further support to lead to crossing the final hurdles in the way of the merger process. Committee chairman, Gadi, said the governor accounted for committee’s major successes because of his support and guidance.
