APD inmate "Trustee" Zachary Chambers turned himself in to an off-duty police officer Wednesday night around 7:30 p.m. Chambers is seen here from inside holding cell #1 at the Covington County Jail. He faces a new charge of felony escape in the third degree after a four-day stint on the loose aftrr catching a ride from the Andalusia Police Department around 5 p.m. Saturday evening while assigned as a trustee to APD for less than a week. Chambers was reportedly serving a 330 day sentence for drug charges. The sentence was handed down by Andalusia Municipal Judge Mike Jones, Jr.
