APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2013-2014 AUVIL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOW OPEN. Auvil scholarships are $1,000 awards, and unlike academic-specific awards, Auvils can go to students from all majors across the university. Application deadline: Monday September 16, 2013. Awards are made in fall semester. Recipients are expected to participate in and share their research and findings at the annual spring Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA). Prospective and novice researchers, as well as experienced researchers, who work with a mentor are eligible (preference will be given to those students who have not received an Auvil award in the past). Applicants for the 2013-14 Auvil scholarships must apply online by midnight on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013. Be sure to read the instructions carefully and complete the form fully.
