APPLIED MATHEMATICIANS... Skills Evolve is looking for young graduates looking to join one of the largest Vehicle Tracking companies in South Africa. Job Purpose: The Market Research Trainee is principally responsible for gathering data, formulating market research reports. To accomplish this task, the Market Research trainee works with the Market Research Analyst to understand, define and document the overarching business object. The Market Research Trainee applies qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce substantiated recommendations. Market Research Trainee frequently presents the findings and recommendations to the Market Intelligence & Development department. Position Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics. A degree in any of the following disciplines will also be sufficient: o Computer Science o Actuarial Science o Accounting and Finance • Ability to use data mining and reporting tools will be an advantage • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities • Expertise with Excel, PowerPoint. • Ability to working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent organizational skills. • Willing to Travel Duties: • Designing or assisting in the development of questionnaires and moderator guides to ensure the necessary data is captured • Conducting data analyses using traditional and advanced methods • Authoring reports containing actionable recommendations • Research and analysis of the company’s markets and customers. • Research and make presentations on critical customer, and market trends. • Analyze customer needs, perceptions, and behavior through a combination of proprietary and syndicated customer research studies. • Develop research questionnaires, analyze and interpret the data, develop presentations and make recommendations on findings. • Perform statistical analysis and modeling of customer research results. • Provide customer data for marketing campaigns & customer analytics. • Maintain and provide on-going support for research databases and models. • Manage on-going tracking studies providing monthly updates and insightful summaries. • Document all research findings. • Coordinate with others on the research team. • Support client teams providing an integrated view of their segment/market or function.
