APR 23/13 Ross Lumb Memorial Scholarship (for student who attended Maple Lane Elementary), Ross Lumb was a dedicated teacher at Maple Lane Elementary School who passed away Nov 2011. In his memory there is a Ross Lumb Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist a graduating Grade 12 student to attend a post-secondary educational institution. Students must be a graduate from the Richmond School District #38 public school system who attended Maple Lane Elementary School. Applicants will be evaluated on the following: * service/volunteer/community involvement * academic achievements (transcript of grades) * description of career plans * reference letter * applicants letter about one of the following: -the importance of lifelong learning, or -how you demonstrated perseverance to overcome adversity in your life to achieve a personal goal, or -how you helped someone in need, or made a difference in your community Applications (in-school or reference letter forms) must be submitted by April 23rd, 2013 to: Mr. Glenn Kishi - District Administrator, Richmond School District, 7811 Granville Avenue, Richmond 3.
