Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 2 Pet. 3:10-11 The line between life and death is too thin. Have you seen, heard or known of a close friend or relative that died? Have you ever considered that it could also be you? Have you asked yourself where you would have been if it were you? Death can come unannounced, only few were privileged to see death come and prepared for it; but many never saw it coming, many hadnt even a minute to make amends before they died, what becomes their fate? what if they had done a bad thing few minutes before death came? What if they had refused to forgive someone before death came? What if they had just committed a sin before death came? It is a pity that eternity is not measured like GP or a cumulative effort put together, but it is measured at the very time is happens. Your age in faith, your title, your length of service, etc are not considered, but your standing with God at the time it happens. Friends, as I see someone close by die, I ask myself, what if it were me that was called up, would I had been ready for eternity? Lies, stealing, anger, animosity, unforgiveness, bitterness, etc can send one to hell. Learn to judge yourself every minute of the day by asking for mercy and living right because it could be now, it could be while you are sleeping..... when once one dies, eternity opens up...... BUT ARE YOU READY? IF YOU MISS HEAVEN YOU WILL CRY!
