ARE YOU READY FOR THE RAPTURE? HILLSIDE HELPS- “…then look up and lift your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28b) The signs are everywhere, and child of God we must pay close attention, for Jesus is coming again. The ever increasing persecution of Christ’s Body, the church, is a sign we cannot ignore. Jesus warned of last day persecution. “And then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matt. 24:9-12) The signs help us to identify the season, even though we don’t know when Jesus is going to come, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man; no not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matt. 24:36-37) What were people doing in the days of Noah? They were living a life without God, “eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage”. While Noah preached the same sermon for 120 years and built the ark according to God’s command, the people partied, played, and mocked what Noah said. Today, we see, as in Noah’s day, men and women have become, “lovers of themselves, covetous, boastful, proud blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (without self-control), fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.” (2 Tim.3:2-4) We hear the mockers making fun of the saints who share the truth of Christ’s coming, “How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time.” (Jude 18) Peter warned of this as well, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last day scoffers, walking after their own lusts. And saying, where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” (2 Peter 3:3-4) I am sure while Noah built the ark and preached the Word, people called him ignorant or insane. Just like today, when we warn of the coming judgment, people ridicule and make fun of us. What must the saints do until Jesus comes? We must wait patiently, work diligently, and watch carefully until the coming of the Lord to Rapture His church. Wait patiently, since we cannot hasten or hurry His coming. Work diligently, since our redemption is closer than ever before. We ought to be working for the Lord, witnessing for the Lord, and winning souls for the Lord. As we wait and work, we must watch. This means to be aware, awake, and alert. The next event in God’s unfolding plan of redemption will be announced with the sudden sound of a trumpet and a shout from the sky. Are you ready for that moment, possibly in the very near future? It’s time to get ready and stay ready for the current events point to the soon coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. I have prayed that everyone that reads his will be saved before it is too late. Repent of your sins and trust Jesus to save you personally so that you will be RAPTURE READY. (Bro.
