ARMY UPDATE!!! I cant say that I couldnt have done this without you. I can say with absolute certainty that it would have been much harder and far more ugly without you. Every step, every set back, every hour with my head over a trash can, an ice pack on my eyes and a heating pad on my back would have been infinitely harder without you. I keep going back to the line from Stephens poem: God is on the ground Im grateful to the poet for giving me the best words to describe how I feel about you. Yesterdays scans were not good. My doctors consulted and agreed that it would be too dangerous to continue with the trial. Tomorrow I begin a new round of Chemo here in Fort Worth with my original doctor. It is, from what Ive heard, very similar to the 1st chemo I had, which dramatically reduced all of my tumors very quickly, even if it made me sick as a dog. You have stuck with me from the start, thru every round, every trial. You are the reason that none of this has been too hard or too heavy. How could it be when all of you kept me so lifted? Tomorrow we return to war. Only this will be on a different field. No less determined, no less positive or loving life. And I will know as I lay back in their big chair, that I really am, in truth, resting in the arms of each of you. Only God knows how much I love you. PRAYERS UP!! #blkgirllive
