ART: THE DUBAI SKYLINE DXBℨ had a chat with Dubai resident Wemmy De Maaker, the Dutch Managing Director of Mawaheb from Beautiful People. Wemmy created the art studio in 2010, to bridge the gap between society and people with a special need. Mawaheb (talented in Arabic) is showcasing an exhibition “The Dubai skyline” in which the artists take a closer look at the environment, to explore the cityscape as residents of this city. From their passion for the Dubai skyline came their art, celebrating the city. Their collaborative work led to pieces such as “New Year’s Eve”, “Mosaic” and “Burj Khalifa”, inspired by the workers. Wemmy told us Our artists found their inspiration in the Dubai skyline, the views they see every day.
