Danny Dyer has a carrier bag full of cash as he films first location shots as new pub landlord Mick Carter in EastEnders. And it seems like theres more to his character than meets the eye if these new off-set location shots taken on Wednesday are anything to go by. The 36-year-old was pictured getting stuck into his role with his two on-screen sisters, Tina, played by Luisa Bradshaw-White and long-standing character, Shirley, played by Linda Henry. The trio arrive at their father Stans rundown flat in a very rough area and it appears as if Shirley has borrowed a huge wad of cash from him, which she carries in a not-very-chic carrier bag. As the cheeky looking lot jump into Micks car, Shirley throws the cash to her brother Mick, who is sitting in the driving seat before they drive off. It is thought that the cash will be used to give to Shirleys ex-boyfriend, Phil Mitchell, as part payment for the Queen Vic pub, but its fair to say that the whole thing seems a little underhand. Dannys character, Mick, looked smart dressed in a navy buttoned-up coat and brown brogues and his onscreen sister, sour-faced Shirley, wore a camel-coloured belted coat with a black polo-neck jumper and knee-high boots. She looked quite conservative, for a change, compared to her sister Tina who wore purple Dr Marten boots, a camouflage mini-skirt and faux-fur jacket. At one point, Luisa Bradshaw-White and Danny Dyer shared a giggle as they practised their lines together. The BBC One soaps executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: My team have worked incredibly hard over the past few months to create the Carters - a contemporary British family with cracks, knocked edges and a touch of darkness that is going to make them very special to watch. A family of strong characters who love and hate each other, all rooted in the best traditions of EastEnders. The role marks a change for Danny, who often plays hard men as patriotic family man Mick is described as a kind-hearted ‘blokes bloke’ who is devoted to his childhood sweetheart Lind. ‘He thinks nothing of throwing on Lindas pink dressing gown and cooking breakfast for the family in the morning before getting the beer barrels ready downstairs,’ the BBC said. When the news was announced Dyer said of the role: ‘Im so excited about starting a new chapter in my career and I cannot wait to become part of the East End family.
