AS THE CORPORATE WORLD EVOLVED In the mid 1990s I landed what I thought was the best job I could have. In October this year I decided it was the worst job anyone should have and I had enough. Left a car and truck rental company overseeing 4 states (8 at one time) and took a job in Uniontown as a service manager at a car dealership. Gave up a company car, free gas, lot of benefits and perks. It was not worth the stress. Leave for work @ 6:30 and get home 10 to 11 PM, carry a blackberry 7 days a week, 365 days a year even on vacation to answer e-mails and roadside breakdowns, anxiety and blood pressure through the roof. It got to the point I even quit car racing in 2012. Then I said enough! I built a new car and put the feelers out to get out of the hell I was in. Today I now have a life again. Enjoying my sons, grandsons, free time, blood pressure back to normal and looking forward to the 2014 race season. Best move I made in a long time. The best perk is NO WORK CELL PHONE!
