ASAPROSAR proudly share that On June 19, the women of the buffer zone of the Natural protected Area La Magdalena and Dr. Vicky Guzman ASAPROSAR Executive Director and Founder was invited to a potluck to strengthen communication with her, sharing their concerns and interests in the search for alternatives to their needs strategic. Also shared a delicious lunch prepared by them, offering a goat meat stew with freshly made corn tortillas and a delicious Horchata. Taking advantage of the same day we did some home visits and family interviews. ASAPROSAR through the Environmental program is working on a process of awareness, education / training and organizing with families, with the aim of developing sustainable practices that improve the availability of livestock feed with participation mechanisms such as dynamic elements of family development in harmony with the environment. Currently works with 285 families of the cantons Magdalena, El Coco, El Tanque and The Criba, by introducing and managing goats and chickens, for self consumption and food practices education, training in income-generating productive activities economic and educational interventions in environmental Health and Nutrition, with financial support from the Shield Ayres Foundation and other volunteers groups from North America.
