ASK Wins the Contract to Implement Abu Dhabi Education Council’s Eedad Training Program ASK for Human Capacity Building is very proud to announce that it has won the contract to implement a comprehensive capacity building program, constituting of two major components for new and experienced teachers, for the Abu Dhabi Education Council’s (ADEC) Eedad Training Program. Eedad is ADEC’s latest initiative launched in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council (ADTC) that aims to train and mentor potential educators to work with ADEC; ultimately contributing to realizing Abu Dhabi’s economic vision. ASK designed, co-customized with ADEC and already started implementing an “Induction Program” and a “Coaching & Mentoring Capacity Building Program” in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. ASK is working very closely with ADEC to ensure that the content of both programs are culturally sensitive, meet beneficiaries’ needs and comply with international standards. Both programs are being implemented by ASK’s highly qualified and certified bilingual Leaders of Change. The Induction Program aims to enhance the readiness of the new teachers by developing and enhancing their educational pedagogies and competencies within Abu Dhabi’s New School Model. It will offer these teachers a systematic structure of support by enabling them with vital information, attitudes, techniques and strategies on topics that are critical to them during their first years in the classroom and school. The Induction Program will address the foundations of teaching, including pedagogy, and effective classroom management techniques, students’ engagement, ICT integration, and collaboration with parents and so on. Moreover, the “Coaching & Mentoring Capacity Building Program” aims to enable more experienced teachers with the necessary competencies, strategies and tools to support, guide, and mentor and coach the new teachers by enhancing the latter’s skills and confidence to succeed in the teaching profession as ADEC teachers. Both programs offer practical and authentic learning opportunities for both new and experienced teachers enabling them to intrinsically adopt the new Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge, and translate them into new behaviors and practices that positively contribute to their work place. Both programs also focus on building the foundation for a strong and beneficial mentoring relationship between the new and experienced teachers through collaboration and continuous learning for the ultimate purpose of enhancing the learning environment for students within ADEC’s New School Model.
