ATHLETICS SEEDINGS - MARCH 27 - ADVANCED NOTICE On Thursday March 27th all students from Years 3 – 6 are required to participate in an Athletics Seeding Event – a short run. This event is necessary in order to place students into ability categories for the House Athletics, happening in Term 2 (14th May). Students will run in their house and age groups – eg, 8/9/10 girls from Flinders House, 8/9/10 boys from Flinders House. This structure will ensure that group sizes are manageable on the day of the House Athletics, and that all students are capable of experiencing success on the day, within their division. For the events 100m, 200m, Hurdles, Triple jump, and Long jump, only the A division students will have the chance to progress (B division students from the 8/9/10 age division will also have their results recorded to be cross referenced against A group). For all other events, the highest achieving student on the day will progress.
