.........ATTENTION GMCITES..... Siddharth Daglis ouster is a big blunder. I was an active member of ICON 2014 and was incorporated as an administrator. Siddharth was a very active member of the organising committee . He was in charge the cultural wing and everybody has seen his enthusiasm of making the GMC orchestra which was a highlight of ICON2014. He generated enthusiasm in GMCites because of his active participation and postings. He was a conduit between GMCites at large and the organising committee and informed about the developments to all through this wall. I was in close association with him. Post ICON he posted on this wall stating irregularities in admitting GMCites to this forum and blockage of few. Sanjay Bhatnagar gave an answer as an administrator. After a few days it was found that Dr.Dagli was removed from this group and again it was pointed out from the end of the organisers that anyone who disturbs the serenity and happiness of the group shall not be tolerated here. I objected this stand though I was an administrator too saying this was a very severe punishment and was undemocratic . There was no answer to that. I rendered my resignation as an administrator as according to me this group is divided in groups and the GMC spirit is missing. Which has been apparently accepted. GMC 73 batch from which Dr.Dagali and Dr.Satish Patkar belong,contributed immensely towards the success of icon. GMC76 also has been quite active from the beginning from which all the administrators belong. There has been a resistance from many against the ouster of Dr.Dagli. The resentment is not expressed as this is an open group. Do the organisers know about the decision? Do we have a constitution and rules? Wasnt it necessary to inform him in advance or given a notice? I belong to the 76 batch. All the administrators are my close and old friends. They do not like me because of my stand. Ironically Dr.Dagli is angry with me and has distanced me As I belong to different batch. I raise this issue not because I hate anybody or my classmates are my enemies. No they are my very dear friends. I am not bringing it here to make Dr.Dagli and his batch happy. I bring it here because personal issues or rivalry has no issue in the working of a organisation like ICON. This issue must end in a friendly manner. GMC icon wall must again have the free happy and friendly atmosphere we call GMC spirit. Dr. Dagli should be made our member again with honour.
