**ATTN OLDFIELDIANS! I am shocked at the remarks directed at me personally, and on this Page, because I simply posted news about Mike Oldfield, which I was not only sure that you would have already heard about but because MANY celebrities every year are targeted with senseless and confusing acts such as death announcements which are, of course, not true. Comedian Eddie Murphy was supposedly Dead after someone who had nothing better to do decided to wreak havoc among the famous. It is shocking and cruel BUT it is an everyday occurrence, which is very foolish and tasteless. I was surprised that this posting made some of you angry....and even more surprised was the backlash that was hurled at me for simply doing my job. I am Administrator of 3 pages and am trying to promote an album here in the US while dealing with a severe illness....managing these Pages is very time consuming and stressful but the important thing for me was to make fans happy. And I have worked many all-nighters to make my Oldfield Pages the best! All for you and have done nothing to deserve such disrespect. Mike Oldfield, himself, has let me know that I work too much. All that was required of Page managers 4 years ago when I started, was to post videos once a week. Just videos. To increase ratings after viewing the numbers, I began researching photos to post and did that along with keeping fans abreast of what is going on in the life of Mike Oldfield. I have gone above and beyond what most Page managers do and have worked so hard that my health has deteriorated in a big way. Only to have insults hurled at me, etc. not only here but on my own Facebook Page because the only thing that I did was to do more work for you than what is actually asked of me and because a post was disliked that I thought all Oldfield fans actually already had heard about, has hurt me deeply and infuriated me at the same time. You have heard the saying Dont shoot me, I am only the messenger - in this case, I am only reporting news about Mike Oldfield - I am only the messenger so do not take out your anger over a post on me. Take it out on the person or persons that started this ridiculous rumour/hoax! In all the years that I have managed Pages for Michael, I have never had fans take something so senseless out on me for simply doing my job. If you all only knew what Page managers have to deal with on a daily basis from people who are just plain mean and abusive. It is a downright shame. And uncalled for in more ways than one! Thank you.
