#AUCians Won Top Places in the 41st #National_Universities_Tournament. #AUC athletes won 8 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 4 bronze medals in the 41st National Universities Tournament (Martyr El Refai Tournament) that takes place annually among Egyptian universities all over Egypt. AUC participated in 12 individual sports games and 9 team sports, including track and field, judo, table tennis, boxing, fencing, taekwondo, rowing, swimming, water polo, squash, diving, basket ball, 5 A side, handball and volleyball. AUCians won the gold medals in track and field, table tennis, tennis, squash, taekwondo and basketball women and the silver medals in track and field, tennis and taekwondo, in addition to bronze medals in track and field, tennis, fencing and rowing. AUC Sports Department is one of the main founders of the Egyptian Universities Federation that organizes the tournament. The tournament is called after martyr Ibrahim El Refai, an athlete who was killed in October War 1973.
