AWRC Bayan project launched! Bayan, is a social networking platform that combines SMS and social media that allows both mobile phone and internet users through Afghanistan to access content, share information, interact and learn from others, network and advocate for change. It’s important digital community for sharing and debate among Afghan youth from all sectors of society, and to discuss important topic across the geographical boundaries. The topics they share is on human rights, politics, society, peace building, leadership and other issues regarding women rights, conflict resolution and to implement the women participation in leadership, peace building as women are the most likely victim of war and conflict, hence their participation in peace and leadership would help them to protect their rights, and find position in society equal to man. Bayan wants to improve the knowledge of people and make them aware about the above topics, and to link them with the Bayan technology as an enabler.
