Abaca twine and rope and exposure meters from the Philippines - TopicsExpress

Abaca twine and rope and exposure meters from the Philippines will continue to be under the US Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), the USTR noted in a statement Friday. Such privilege allows the Philippines to export abaca twine and rope and exposure meters to the US at duty-free category. Other Philippine products on the US GSP list are bananas, wood products, edible oils, cotton fabrics and footwear materials. "GSP is a time-tested tool for advancing international economic development while also helping US businesses, workers, and consumers by lowering the costs of imported goods, including those used as inputs for US manufacturing," US Trade Representative Michael Froman noted in the statement.
