Abba Father, we thank You for 2014 and all that You have seen us - TopicsExpress

Abba Father, we thank You for 2014 and all that You have seen us through. Our hearts have been burdened throughout the year, with loved one who have strayed from the heart of family. But You Father have given us courage to speak words of love to those who are hurting and without You for comfort. We know prayer is the answer, but often we find ourselves in a hurry to see our prayers answered. Your glory will shine through the darkness, if we will only trust in Your Word, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20). Your Word has taught us how to forgive, even when others choose not to, “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14-15). Father, during our times of great sorrow, You wrapped Your loving arms around us, held us until our hearts felt the peace which only You can give. When the darkness of this world seem to close in on us, and there was no way out, again Your Word brought us guidance, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13). We thank you, Lord for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in everything we think, do, see, say and hear. Thank you, for Your promise, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17). Jesus is the Light by which we can stay alert to the enemy of this world, which seeks to steal, kill and destroy our testimony. As we close this season of our lives, we look upward toward the cross, lift up our hands in praise and worship to the only God who’s word says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). Send laborers across our path to help us to fully realize and accept that Jesus is our Truth, our Righteousness, our Peace, our Savior, the source of our faith, and the ever-present Lord of our lives. May all that we do in 2015 bring glory, honor and praise to Your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray, thank you, love you and bless you, Amen.
