About 2 years ago, I commented to a gentleman that watched one of my videos about the 240th Assault Helicopter Company on YouTube. He, Don aka FOOMBA, had a Brother that served with 5/60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, the great OLD RELIABLES, in 69-70 that always remembered flying with the 240th AHC (SLICKS) on air assaults in the choppers with the GREYHOUND on the nose. We, the 9th Infantry and 240th AHC, worked side-by-side fighting communist aggression in South Vietnam and our units made a great team. Don aka FOOMBA, made a video to honor the 240th Assault Helicopter Company, so please watch and get yourself a handkerchief. FOOMBAs Brother in the 9th Infantry will retire this June at age 67. I commented that my brother remembered flying on 240 AHC slicks on air assaults and remembered the greyhound painted on the nose of the helicopters. He was in the 5/60th Inf., 9ID, 69-70. You replied to the comment which was much appreciated and I shared your reply with my brother which he liked very much. When he got out of the service he went back to college and became a veterinarian and plans on retiring this June at the age of 67. Yes I made the video with a video game called Arma 3.
