About a month ago I went to the Greek Festival which was done in Lonsdale Street. It was very well organised and I really enjoyed mysef with the people, their traditions, their music and ofcoarse, their food. Ive only been here two years but I remember coming for holidays and going to a Maltese Festival which was done at Port Arlington. Pity but this was stoped more than ten years ago. Somebody told me that whoever used to organise it wasnt given a permit. Thats bullshit because over there they still organise the Port Arlington Mussels Festival. Somebody else told me that the permit cost a lot, so isnt there a Maltese club or organiser that has enough courage to start this tradition over again. After all, it was done on a field not like the Greeks, closing down one of the biggest and busyest street in the city.
