About on the right-hand side of this photo is where the Auburn Branch ran. You see, just because they ripped up the Auburn Branch, that doesnt mean that Victor Insulators didnt want rail service anymore. So the Lehigh Valley put in a track bending around from downtown Victor to these tracks that used to be the NY Centrals spur serving Victor Insulators. victorinsulators/ invented high-voltage insulators like every power transmission line, and every trolley line used. And theyre still in business. Theyre one of those companies that you KNOW has good products, because their website sucks so bad. Since the railbed has tracks on it, Victor Trails cant run a rail-trail there, so there is a very primitive up-and-down, back-and-forth (unsigned) trail connecting the Auburn Branch. Or, if youre on a bicycle, you can follow the signs, go up north to a section of the Rochester & Eastern Rapid Railway (trolley), ride that for a little bit, then come back south to join up with the Auburn Branch again.
