About situation in Crimea for today. Russia, desiring to get her - TopicsExpress

About situation in Crimea for today. Russia, desiring to get her way and not to get caught, is providing and undercover raid of Crimean Parliament. As already heard, about 120 militants in identified uniform and heavy duty arms (enough for 1 month of fighting) came into Parliament building, very professionally (without a sound) unarmed guards, and asked everyone to leave. They put a Russian flag over Parliament of Independent Republic of Crimea and claimed they are pro-Russian supporters. All pro-Russian activists (when asked by Medgelis - Crimean Tatar Union) said that it is not their people. Heavy duty trucks were noticed arriving from Sevastopol. About 50 armored vehicles were driving to Simferopol, but later I read they were returning. To be honest, I dont know how to call it if not an undercover aggression. Parliament of Crimea was supposed to have a session at 2pm. They did not have quorum. Then suddenly they announced that they did (after 4pm) where supposedly 53 (out of 100) voted to dismiss the current Parliament, called Ukrainian gov illigit (Yanukovich is still a president) and called to provide a referendum to separate from Ukraine and reunite with Russia (even though there is no Constitutional base for it). You see, in 1994 (96?) Ukraine has given up nuclear weapon in exchange from US, England, Russia a guarantee that its territorial wholeness (including Crimea) will not be challenged. As a sign of friendship there was an agreement signed that Russian Fleet may base in Sevastopol until other arrangements will be met. But all further governments of Ukraine were huresed by Russia to keep this city (because there was a war few centuries ago against Turks and they won). Truth is it is lucrative piece of property. This year Crimean Tatars will commemorate 70 years since native of Crimea were shipped by Stalin away from their home land to deep Russia. Russian peasants were given free land in Crimea peninsula to repopulate. Fairly large Tatars population of Crimea, together with Ukrainians who lived there for a long time, has expressed many times that they prefer autonomy withing Ukrainian boundaries. Since geographical location of peninsula makes Ukraines defense vonurable, Ukraine has financed the development and tourism in Crimea. Crimea has enjoyed a status quo. But to quote from movie Kolya a Czech guys words about Russians You, Russians, are scoundrels. When you get invited for a short visit you never leave and just move in. How to pray? Wisdom and decisive action. Ukraine must deal with separatism in a most strong possible way. It is punishable under criminal law. However, the way Russians act by flexing their muscle, it looks like much more bloody scenario then the one in Kiev last week is possible. Ukrainian new gov is pretty weak now. A lot of sabotage, fighting all the criminal elements released by Yanukovich thugs, economic default... And new war on hands... Plus, Tatars are moderate and very lay back Muslims right now. Escalation of events will have serious short and long term repercussions. New gov is trying to be level headed, but ... Russia is using the moment to stir up and act. Crimea and Sevastopol is Putins plan minimum. That he will act (not listening to any warnings) it is a guarantee. Methods used??? One never is an ex-KGB agent. Undercover war. Figure for yourself how to stand in the gap for your fellow Ukrainians in prayer. By the way, there are many Protestant Churches in Crimea. Russia is not what they pray for and definitely not the Russian foreign war. Pray. God is bigger then a boogy man.
