About to start a new semester at good old McMurry University. When I started grad school, and worked my way through my PhD, I never dreamed I would be teaching there full time. I did teach there as an adjunct while working on my Masters degree, but never dreamed of being there full time. I graduated from McMurry as a non-trad, and took classes from some of the best professors: Dr. Chuck Etheridge , an English teacher who definitely was one of my favorites. He taught a class called African American literature, which was one of THE BEST classes I have ever taken. Dr. Short, Spanish teacher, who was one of the McM professors who welcomed me back to McMurry as a full time prof. I remember him putting his arm around me and saying, you were a student here, and now a professor! You are now my colleague! Rest in peace, Dr Short! And, of course, there was Dr. Robert Wallace...my mentor, guide, and professor, friend, and now my boss! Enough said. Is there any doubt as to why I still bleed maroon? Ready for class to start!!!!!!
